Sam Quek

Sam Quek is a Olympic gold medallist and former GB Hockey Player, turned broadcaster.

Sam won 125 international caps for the England and Great Britain, and  was a key member of Team GB’s women’s hockey team that won gold at the Rio 2016 Olympics. In 2017, Sam was awarded an MBE for ‘Services to Hockey’.

In 2025, Sam joined Channel 5’s Big Game Night as part of the hosting line-up and co-hosts the accompanying NFL highlights show. Since 2024, she has also been part of ITV’s Soccer Aid, playing for the winning England side, and joined Sky Sports Cricket presenting across multiple games for The Hundred. During the Paris 2024 Olympics, Sam worked with Capital Breakfast live from Team GB House, interviewing athletes daily and reporting from the heart of the Games.

Sam has built a wide-ranging broadcasting career across both sport and entertainment. She was a regular host of BBC One’s Morning Live and made history as the first female team captain on BBC’s A Question of Sport. She co-anchored BBC Olympic Breakfast during the Tokyo Games, and co-hosted the Eurovision Opening Ceremony in Liverpool in 2023.

In sport, Sam has fronted coverage across a range of disciplines including the NFL and rugby union for Channel 5, field hockey for TNT Sports, football for Channel 4 and LFC TV, and co-hosted BBC Radio 5 Live’s 606 — the UK’s biggest live football phone-in show.

Beyond sport, Sam reached the final four of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and was runner-up on BBC’s Celebrity MasterChef.

Commercially, Sam has collaborated with brands including eBay, NatWest, Booking.com, Haliborange, Team GB, ZenAuto, and OwletUK.
