Danny Care is one of England’s most recognisable rugby personalities, combining a decorated playing career with a fast-growing presence in broadcast and media.
A dynamic scrumhalf, Care spent 19 seasons with Harlequins, becoming the club’s record appearance holder and winning two Premiership titles (2012, 2021) alongside the European Challenge Cup. On the international stage, he earned 101 caps for England, becoming the nation’s second most capped scrumhalf, and played key roles in multiple Six Nations campaigns, including the 2016 Grand Slam. He also represented England at the 2015 and 2023 Rugby World Cups, as well as winning a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games. Danny announced his retirement from international rugby in 2024.
Alongside his playing career, Care has built a strong profile in media, becoming a regular voice across rugby coverage. He has featured as a pundit and co-commentator for broadcasters TNT Sports and ITV, in addition to hosting BBC’s Rugby Union Weekly Podcast.
In 2024 Danny released his debut book, Everything Happens for a Reason – My Life in Rugby, sharing behind the scenes tales from his extraordinary career which has spanned almost two decades, including the highs and lows from his remarkable rugby journey.
Off the pitch, Danny hosts the successful YouTube series Hit’s Different with Danny Care, where he interviews some of the biggest names in rugby, sport, and popular culture. He has also fronted campaigns for global brands including Nike, L’Oréal, O2, Dove and Guinness.
