Ebony Rainford-Brent is a former English cricketer, broadcaster, and advocate for diversity in sports.

A talented all-rounder, Ebony was part of the squad that won the 2009 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup and the 2009 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

After retiring from professional cricket, Ebony transitioned into a successful broadcasting career, becoming a prominent voice on BBC Sport, Sky Sports, TNT, and Test Match Special. Additionally, Ebony hosted The Women’s Sport Show on BBC Radio London until 2023.

She’s been a leading figure in promoting inclusivity in cricket, co-founding the ACE Programme, which aims to increase opportunities for young Black cricketers in the UK.

Ebony published her debut book in 2025, Test Match Special: How To Read Cricket. This book offers an entertaining and witty guide to everything from amazing stats and skills analysis to the game’s uniquely joyous culture, its stand-out players, greatest grounds and dodgiest pitches.

Ebony has worked with brands including Galaxy, Acitmel, Toyota, Sage, and Spotify.
