Elis James is a stand-up comedian, actor, and broadcaster best known for his hit BBC Sounds podcast Elis James and John Robins.A regular voice across radio and podcasts, Elis has hosted BBC’s Feast of Football and The Socially Distant Sports Bar, and fronts the comedy–history series Oh What a Time. He previously co-hosted a Radio X show with John Robins for five years.
From 2023-2024,Elis co-hosted Sky’s Fantasy Football League alongside Matt Lucas across 2 successful series.. He has also appeared as a panellist on Mock the Week, Qi, Eight Out of Ten Cats and Eight Out of Ten Cats Does Countdown.
As an actor, Elis starred as the lead in BBC3 sitcom ‘Crims’ and played Owen in three series of Josh Widdicombe’s sitcom ‘Josh’.
In 2025, Elis and John toured the UK with Elis & John: That Feels Significant Live! He also had a Welsh-language stand-up tour in late 2024, performing across Wales to sold-out audiences.
